Entries for the 2010 race are now closed. Please note the following information - If you supplied us with an email address you will receive an email in the next couple of days with your Electronic Race Pack. This will include details of your race number, event and parking information. Please keep an eye open for this email and regularly check your spam email folder. If we don’t have an email address for you we will send this information via post. If for some reason you don’t receive this email prior to the race and you have confirmed your entry then come on Sunday and proceed to the runner information area where we will supply you with the information necessary to collect your Race Number and Timing Chip.
Please use the “ Am I In? ” page to confirm your entry as this uses the live entry database. If you think there is a problem you can contact us on 01259 727847 for assistance.
We will be taking a limited number of entries on the day and if you want to take part please arrive early (8:30am if possible). Entry on the day will be £20 and we can’t guarantee that late entrants will receive a medal, t-shirt or goodie bag.

All entrants who supplied an e-mail address will be contacted by e-mail during w/c 15th March.
This e-mail will provide all the information required for race day, including race number.
All other entrants will receive their information pack by post.

Date and Time
The 28th Alloa Round Table Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 21nd March 2010. The race start time is 10:00am and we recommend that all runners give themselves enough time before the start to warm up.

Race Packs
Race pack, including race number, will be sent out in due course. Runners will be issued their timing chip on the morning of the race.

Race Location and Parking
The race start and finish is the Leisure Bowl, Parkway, Alloa, FK10 2AF where ample changing and toilet facilities are available.

No car parking is available at the race site. Ample car parking is available at the following location:

Road signs will be clearly displayed on all routes directing traffic to the appropriate car park and marshals will be available if you require assistance.
There will be no shuttle bus service as the car park/race venue are within walking distance.

Race Numbers & Chip Timing
Carefully secure your race number to the front of your vest with four safety pins. It is your responsibility to ensure that you arrive at the finish with your number in tact. We are using the Winning Time chip timing system for the race and you will need to ensure that your chip is securely worn over the ankle before you cross the start line. At the finish can you please deposit the chip in the appropriate receptacles. Any entrant who does not return their timing chip will be charged £10.50 to replace it.

Baggage
Unsecured baggage storage will be available at the Leisure Bowl as well as a limited number of lockable storage lockers. The race organisers take no responsibility for any items stored at the Leisure Bowl before, during or after the race.

First Aid Support
St. Andrew's First Aid will be providing the first aid cover throughout the event.

There are four water stations along the route.
The course is well marshalled and has mile markers throughout.

Finish
Once you have finished please remain in order and do not leave the finish funnel until directed to do so. Try to keep moving along the finish funnel at all times,. When you are out of the funnel please keep the exit clear.

Prizes and Trophies
All finishers will receive a medal and the winners of all male and female categories will receive prizes. Here are the prize details for the 2010 race:

Family Fun Activities
Due to the change of venue we will be unable to provide any family fun activities at the 2010 race.

Refreshments and snacks will be available throughout the day at the race site.

Photographs
We will have a number of photographers covering the event and if there are any special group/team photos required then please let us know and we will arrange for them to be taken before or after the race (time permitting).

Safety
Your personal safety and that of your fellow runners, spectators and helpers must take absolute priority.
You must be of sufficient fitness to complete the course in 3 1/2 hours and have no known medical conditions. If you're in any doubt consult your doctor before competing. Do not run with a cold or flu - this can be extremely dangerous.
If you are unwell then stop and seek help and if you see another runner in serious distress stop and help and notify the next Marshal or first aider.
Always follow the directions of marshals and the police.
Eat well and avoid alcohol the night before the event. Eat something light and drink plenty of water throughout the morning of the race.

Cancellations
We regret that once entry applications have been processed we cannot refund any entry fees to runners who do not take part. In the event of the race being cancelled owing to forces outside the organisers' control, we also regret that no entry fees can be refunded after entries have been processed.
